Morrison investing in AI infrastructure – Markets with Madison

Executive Director Robert Huang shares why Morrison is investing in AI infrastructure in an interview with Madison Malone from Markets with Madison, published by the NZ Herald.

Morrison acquired FiberLight, a Texas-based underground fibre cable company in 2022, which has recently become a “backbone” provider for OpenAI’s US$500 billion initiative, Project Stargate.

In the interview, Robert explains why FiberLight is a classic Morrison investment, and how the business plans to expand its footprint and deepen its role in the AI and cloud ecosystem.

Connectivity and Digitalisation is one of Morrison’s “ideas that matter”, an investment strategy focused on identifying and deeply understanding the major macro social and economic trends driving new forms of infrastructure.

Please note, the video incorrectly states Morrison is the owner of Infratil. Morrison is the manager of Infratil. This has been corrected in the news article and YouTube comments.
