Morrison Announces Global Leadership Appointments

New appointments underscore growth and depth of experience

Morrison has announced strategic leadership appointments to support its continued growth in Europe and North America, reflecting strong investor confidence in its global infrastructure investment strategies.

A pioneer of specialist infrastructure investing globally, Morrison has built a 37-year track record across sectors including renewable energy, digital infrastructure, transportation, and social infrastructure. Originally founded in New Zealand in 1988, the firm grew into Australia in the 1990s and expanded into North America, Europe and Asia in the 2010s.

Partner and Chief Executive Paul Newfield said Morrison’s differentiated expertise and commitment to long-term value are being recognised in markets worldwide.

“Morrison’s success over more than three decades of infrastructure investing has been built on investing in world-class talent.  As our business has expanded in the Northern Hemisphere over the past decade, we’ve been mindful of blending homegrown DNA with outstanding local hires.

“These most recent changes reflect the ongoing growth of our European and North American investment portfolios and the strong demand we’ve seen from institutional investors to increase their exposure to global value-add and core-plus infrastructure through Morrison.”

Leadership Appointments:

  • Perry Offutt has been appointed Head of Capital Formation and joins the Morrison Management Team.  He has over 30 years of infrastructure investment experience in North America and joined Morrison in 2021

  • Perry and Vincent Gerritsen have been appointed as Co-Heads of the Morrison Value Add II Strategy.  With Perry and Vincent respectively based in New York and London, this provides transatlantic leadership for the fund.  Vincent joined Morrison in 2019 and has three decades of investment experience in Europe, half of which has been in real assets and infrastructure.

  • Peter Coman becomes Head of UK and Europe Investment. Peter previously led Morrison’s Australia and New Zealand investment team.  Prior to joining Morrison in 2008, Peter was London-based and has 28 years of infrastructure and real assets investment experience across Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

  • Grace Tang succeeds Peter as Head of ANZ Investment. Grace joined Morrison in 2021.  She has over 18 years of infrastructure experience and a strong track record in origination, portfolio performance and asset management.

  • Shashank Ramakrishnan assumes responsibility for Morrison Infrastructure Partners’ portfolio management, Morrison’s global open-ended core-plus infrastructure strategy. Shashank will report to Gordon Hay, Head of Morrison Infrastructure Partners and UTA. Shashank is Sydney-based and has been with Morrison since 2018.  He has 14 years of experience across infrastructure investment management, operating infrastructure businesses, and investment banking.

Perry Offutt commented, “This is an exciting step, further connecting Morrison’s leading investment capabilities with our global capital raising and origination efforts.”

Melissa Richards, Partner and Head of Strategy, Product, and Growth, will be departing in the coming months. Melissa has played a pivotal role in establishing our global product development and capital raising capability.

Mr Newfield added, “I would like to acknowledge the critical contributions Melissa has made to our growth. Her thoughtful leadership and collaborative style have left a lasting impact.  She’s been a wonderful colleague, and we wish her every success in her next chapter.”
